2026 Deer Camp

Deer Camp is three days of mentorship in Uwharrie National Forest in Central NC. You'll spend time in the field with experienced mentors learning the things like reading sign, understanding how deer use their environment, choosing a setup, and making an ethical shot, all while building relationships with
a community that wants to see you grow.

This isn't a guided hunt. You're going to scout, learn the land, and understand why it matters. The more you put in, the more you get out.

For mentees

- No experience necessary
- Paired with an experienced mentor
- Learn scouting, sign reading, stand placement & shot placement
- Community of like-minded mentees

For mentors

- Share what you know with the next generation
- Build lasting mentor relationships
- Hunt alongside a great community
- Give back to conservation and the sport

How it works

1. Join the waitlist. Open now through Sunday, October 11.
2. Attend one pre-camp Zoom call. Required for every participant. This is where we meet, answer questions, and go over what to expect (see below for meeting options).
3. Get approved and register. Registration closes Friday, November 6.
4. We pair mentors and mentees and send your welcome packet with the camp location the week of November 9.
